I have spent the month of April concentrating on my overall fitness and diet. Taking lots of walks and hikes on the local conservation trails and just in the neighborhood. My Garmin tells me my average steps per day ranges in the 13,000 steps-a-day. I’ve been eating a fairly strict low carb diet. Over the years I learned that is what my body responds to the best and what I can stick to the best. That’s truly key. You need both. Can you stick with the diet and does your body react to it well. I still have my coffee every morning with a good dollop of super thick heavy…

Looking through my media on this blog, I noticed I had a lot of uploaded photos for posts that just didn’t happen. Today’s flashback will be to the day the Mrs and I took a Friday off and headed out on the boat, throw out the anchor on a nice quiet spot and enjoy the smooth water before any of the weekend tourists showed up. Wine, water, and women! Looking forward to more time on the water this year with the new boat!

I have nothing but anecdotal evidence to back that up though. I buy some cigars, try them… They are just OK. Let them sit in the humidor for a while and then have them again. Then soon become excellent. So this has just become my typical habit. I usually have a good year or two’s worth of cigars stocked up. I write all this just to preface that these cigars mellowed for a…

In New Hampshire, just when you think one season is over, it shows up again just to remind you how unpredictable the weather really is around here. Woke up last Saturday morning to a good ground covering of heavy fluffy snow. It was still snowing and I checked outside. Surprisingly was warm for what I saw in front of my eyes. Grabbed the dog (she’s 13) and decided to take a walk. Good fortune came upon us in our little neighborhood by not only being next to some conservation land, but also we have some great outdoor enthusiasts who have created a 2.7 mile trail through these woods. The trial…
