State of the Union Cigar – Arturo Fuente Anejo Review

Decided to watch the State of the Union out in my smoking shed, with a new batch of cigars that came in. I had a box of Arturo Fuente Anejo cigars – Torpedos. I have a love for the torpedos because I can easily control the flow by how I cut the end. A small snip, or a larger cut. I started with a smaller snip in the back as I always do, but the draw will a little harder than I prefer, so I opened it up a bit more and the draw was perfect. The cigar was extremely smooth for a medium to full bodied cigar. More medium…

    Cleaning House – Decluttering

I’m in the middle of reorganizing a bunch of my hobbies and noticed a have a few that either no longer do, enjoy, or have too much “stuff” accumulating. It’s hard to purge the older and currently unused items. Sure, it’s just sitting there, but the second you look at it, you remember all the enjoyable times and think to yourself: “I should do that again!”. So you keep the said item. Lotus Cigar Lighter

I had misplaced my normal cigar lighter and was in the market for a new one. I wanted one that was going to stay in my smoking shed, so I was ok with going larger. Flip out the bottom and you have a two different sized hole punch for cigars But there’s more than that… On the side is a very sharp cutter So it cuts cigars in multiple different ways, it lights with ease,…

    More Sugaring Gear Arriving Daily

New shipment of spouts, used buckets and lids for sap collection, hydrometers and stainless steel testing containers. Aiming for 40 taps this season. My goal is to produce the most, highest quality syrup I can as a hobbyist backyard sugarer, with small hobby type equipment. Is sugarer even a word? If not I like it and will continue to use it.

    Backyard Curling

So we may not exactly be Olympic bound, but a few of us neighbors have been getting together and have found enjoyment in this unique cold weather sport. A sport most often thought of when thinking of Canada, than New Hampshire. Yet here we are. It’s a perfectly made (to suit our needs) course with 2 x 10″ boards making the outline, a liner to hold the water and PVC piping cut just right to act as bumpers going around the perimeter of the course. With coffee in hand and brooms in the other – though the brooms did little more than make us look and feel good brushing the…
